Edukasi Pemilihan Jajanan Sehat pada Anak Usia Sekolah di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 38 Ampenan
Abstract
The elementary school period is a period of growth and development for children so they need nutritious food or intake to support their growth process. Snacks are a source of nutrition for school-aged children. However, food or snacks in the school environment are sometimes less hygienic and do not contain sufficient nutrition. Children usually tend to choose food based on its attractive color, shape and taste without considering its hygiene and nutritional value. Therefore, it is necessary to provide education about healthy snacks that are good for elementary school age children to consume. The aim of this activity is to provide knowledge to children about healthy snacks, how to choose and the characteristics of healthy snacks that support their growth and development. The methods used are lectures, discussions and questions and answers. The results of this activity show an increase in students' knowledge and understanding about healthy snacks, hygiene and skills in choosing healthy snacks both in the school environment and outside of school.
