Edukasi Makan Bergizi dan Pencegahan Stunting pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar di SDN 043936 Merek Situnggaling
Abstract
Abstract: Stunting remains a chronic nutritional issue among children that requires integrated interventions, including nutrition literacy from primary school age. This community service activity aimed to deliver basic education on nutritious foods and stunting prevention to elementary school students at SDN 043936 Merek Situnggaling. The event took place on Monday, August 24, 2026, for a duration of 120 minutes, involving 45 representative students from grades 1 to 6. Educational content was delivered using whiteboards, visual posters of balanced nutrition, and interactive teaching cards. The delivery methods included interactive lectures, question-and-answer sessions, and descriptive end-session reflections. Evaluation was conducted through qualitative-descriptive observations and recording verbal student responses without formal pre-test and post-test measurements. Observation results indicated high enthusiasm and active participation from all students. Students from grades 3–6 accurately identified local nutritious foods such as eggs, fish, and vegetables, and recognized the importance of handwashing and limiting sugary snacks. This activity demonstrates that age-appropriate visual nutrition education effectively engages elementary students.
