Abstract

Constituent Structure of Indonesian: A Study of Functional Lexical Grammar and Typology. Indonesian has many features in structural studies. It can be seen from morphological, syntactic, and typological point of views. This research examines the correspondence of constituent structure (str-k), functional (str-f) and typological relationship. The method in this research is qualitative with descriptive type. The data in this study uses 2 types of data, namely primary data sourced from speech obtained from native speakers, while primary data which is written data obtained from grammar books, valid scientific writing sources, and relevant writings in accordance with the research criteria. Some important findings in this study after testing the correspondence of str-k and str-f and their typological relationship, it was found that in Indonesian language construction the TLF approach is still relevant to universality in the condition of lexical entry, str-f and str-k patterns can still be accepted in accusative nomiative forms (active and passive diathesis). Whereas in the ergative language pattern TLF is unacceptable because it is considered incomplete due to the problem of verbs in ergative having intransitive behavioural properties.
