Plagiarism Screening Policy

JURNALISTRENDI: Journal of Linguistics, Literature, and Education strictly discourages plagiarism and self-plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarized content. To ensure academic integrity, the journal employs plagiarism detection software (Turnitin) to assess similarity in every manuscript submitted by authors.

Each manuscript is screened twice using Turnitin: (1) at the initial submission stage and (2) at the final publication stage (accepted manuscript).

Similarity Thresholds

  1. Initial Submission. The maximum allowable similarity index for initial submissions is 20%. If the similarity score exceeds 15%, the manuscript will be rejected, returned to the author, and will not proceed to peer review.
  2. Final Manuscript. The maximum allowable similarity index for manuscripts accepted for publication is 15%. Final manuscripts with a similarity score above 15% must be revised by the author prior to copyediting. The editorial team will process the final manuscript only after the similarity score is reduced to below 15%.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools

  1. The use of AI-assisted tools in manuscript preparation is permitted up to a maximum of 20%.
  2. Authors are strictly prohibited from using AI tools for data fabrication, falsification, or manipulation.

Editorial Policy and Ethical Warning

The journal does not tolerate deliberate attempts to manipulate similarity reports or engage in unethical practices to evade plagiarism detection. Manuscripts found to involve intentional misconduct will be automatically rejected, and revised versions of such manuscripts will not be reconsidered for publication.
